Maia Chavez Larkin is a children's fashion illustrator who has worked for designers including Anais & I (NY), Mini + Maximus (CA), Le Vestiaire de Jeanne (France), Suvi Ainoa (San Diego), Naive Days (Norway), and Loup Charmant (Brooklyn). Born and raised among artists, she was trained in architectural and interior illustration at the New York School of Interior Design, and went on to study painting and drawing at Il Chiostro in Italy. Her classical pen and ink work has shown at the Kiesendahl + Calhoun Contemporary Art Gallery in Beacon, NY, the Fletcher Gallery in Woodstock, NY and the Broome Street Gallery in Manhattan, among others. She has also illustrated for various publications and websites, including Babiekins Magazine, La Petite Magazine, and the website and cookbook of The Pioneer Woman. She has been featured on Kickcan & Conkers, momfilter, Pirouette, HipHip GinGin, Planet Awesome Kid, Naif Magazine, and we love indie, among others. Maia and her husband, a chef and journalist, live in Denver, with their daughter (and shop muse!) Flynn Q, adopted from China in 2008.
